Cricket World Cup is a casual sports batting game where you select your favorite international squad and face continuous deliveries at the crease. The main objective is to read each incoming delivery, time your swing cleanly, and accumulate the highest possible score across your innings.
Matches run in a landscape view and test your reflexes as each pitch approaches the batsman. Clean contact sends the ball across the boundary rope, while mistimed swings risk missing the ball completely or ending your turn at bat.
How to play Cricket World Cup
Your role in every match is to stand as the batsman and protect your wicket against incoming deliveries from the opposing bowler. Each ball travels toward you with varying trajectory and speed, requiring quick visual tracking before you commit to a stroke.
- Desktop: Click the screen when the ball reaches the hitting zone to swing the bat.
- Mobile: Tap the screen when the pitch arrives to trigger your stroke.
A match begins with your chosen team stepping onto the pitch. Deliveries arrive in steady succession, so you must observe the bounce and position of each ball. Timing your swing early or late shifts the angle of your shot, determining whether you earn basic runs or clear the boundary.
Batting physics and scoring runs
The game relies on physics calculations to determine where the ball travels after contact. Striking the ball at the sweet spot sends it deep into the outfield for maximum points. If you swing too early, you may pull the ball softly or miss entirely. Swinging too late can result in a weak edge or a clean strike against the stumps behind you.
Because deliveries change in speed and elevation, adapting to each individual ball is essential. Consistent run scoring requires patience, steady hand-eye coordination, and careful observation of the bowler’s release point.
Tips for higher scores
- Watch the release: Keep your eyes focused on the ball the moment it leaves the bowler’s hands to gauge its initial speed.
- Wait for the bounce: Allow the ball to hit the pitch before initiating your swing so you do not mistime the contact point.
- Target the sweet spot: Striking the ball near the center of your bat produces cleaner trajectory and yields higher run totals.
- Stay centered: Avoid rushing your swings on slower balls, as early contact drastically weakens shot power.
